A New Double Degree Program with Università di Roma – La Sapienza
ENSAI has just signed a new double degree agreement with La Sapienza Università di Roma. Future engineers and civil servants can now apply to the Master of Science in Statistical Methods and Application.
Founded in 1303, La Sapienza has 11 faculties, including the Faculty of Information Engineering, Informatics, and Statistics.
A double degree for the Engineer Statistician Program and the Civil Servant Program
ENSAI’s future engineers selected for this program at La Sapienza will graduate with a double degree: the diplôme d’ingénieur from ENSAI and the MSc in Statistical Methods and Application, Data Analyst track.
Future civil servants will also obtain a double degree: the Master in Public Evaluation and Decision Making and the MSc in Statistical Methods and Application, EMOS Official Statistics track.
“This new double degree agreement with La Sapienza shows ENSAI’s commitment to strengthening its cooperation with renowned international partners. I am particularly enthusiastic about this agreement because it will allow both engineers and civil servants to obtain a double degree. This demonstrates the school’s mission to train data science experts for both the private and the public sectors”. Todd Donahue, Head of International Relations at ENSAI.
Italian students following the MSc SMA at la Sapienza will be able to study at ENSAI in the Master in Public Evaluation and Decision Making or in the Master in Statistics for Smart Data.
An advanced program for English–speaking students
The MSc SMA is delivered by the Department of Statistical Sciences.
This how the latter presents the MSc SMA: “The program provides students with specific statistical skills through a suitable mix of advanced data modelling methodologies and hands-on professional training to address complex scientific and socio-economic problems.
Students are prepared to handle the overall data management process: planning, collection, analysis, interpretation, and decision making. Specific attention is devoted to methods for Big Data Analysis and their applications to relevant domains with a specific emphasis on economic phenomena.
Starting from a common base of Statistics, Probability, and Computing, the Master program aims at delivering a solid and highly marketable statistical and quantitative training in the interpretation of real-world phenomena and decision-making support of decision-making “.
The MSc SMA program is taught entirely in English. International students are encouraged nonetheless to take Italian classes while in Rome.
